✨ Part of a Women’s Health Community Project
Let’s SHAPE Our Creativity CIC is hosting a small series of relaxed creative sessions for women. These sessions offer a calm, welcoming space to slow down, try different art activities and spend time in good company.
No experience is needed and all materials are provided.
While the focus of these sessions is creativity and wellbeing, they are also part of a community project exploring women’s experiences of gynaecological health services, including menopause, menstrual health and accessing support.
Through creative activities and informal conversation, we hope to better understand the challenges women can face when seeking help. There is absolutely no expectation to share anything personal. Participants are always free to simply enjoy the creative activity.
Insights from the sessions may be gathered anonymously to help local health services better understand women’s experiences and improve support.
The Sessions
Bee Needle Felting
Create a small felted bee using soft wool fibres and simple needle felting techniques. This gentle, repetitive craft is surprisingly calming and perfect for beginners.
Painting – Empowered Woman
A relaxed painting session celebrating strength and self-expression. We’ll be painting an empowered female figure, with plenty of freedom to explore your own colours and creative style.
Vision Boards
Using magazines, textures and collage materials, create a vision board reflecting what matters to you right now. This session is about creativity, reflection and exploring ideas in a visual way.
Candle Painting
Decorate your own candle using paints and simple creative techniques. A mindful activity where you’ll leave with something beautiful and personal.
Mandala Plaques
Create a decorative mandala plaque using dotting tools and simple patterns. Mandala designs are known for their calming, reflective nature and this session is all about slowing down and enjoying the process.
Important Information
These sessions form part of a community project exploring women’s health experiences.
By booking a place, you are agreeing to take part in the project. Participation in conversations is always optional and there is no expectation to share anything personal. Any insights gathered during the sessions will be recorded anonymously and used to help local health services better understand women’s experiences.
Artwork or reflections will only be included in the final project report with permission.
These sessions are open to women aged 18+.
All materials are included.
We especially welcome women who may not always feel heard or comfortable accessing health services.
To help us hear from as many different women as possible, we ask that participants book onto one session only, leaving space for others to take part.
