On Saturday, I packed up what felt like half the craft cupboard and headed over to Shevington Fete!
Armed with endless crafty bits & bobs, I set up my Let’s SHAPE Our Creativity stall on the field, ready for a day of creativity. The setup is no small feat when I’m running solo, but seeing the excitement on people’s faces when they spot the craft table always makes it worth every minute.
The weather kept things interesting — one minute glorious sunshine, the next a sudden downpour! But it didnt stop the community coming together. At one point there was a crowd of us crafting away under the gazebo as the rain came down, turning the stall into a cosy little hive of creativity (and shelter!).
There were so many lovely creations made throughout the day — painted plant pots, bookmarks, money boxes and lots more heading home with proud little artists. It was a joy to see so many familiar faces, and lots of new ones, taking part and having fun.
A little personal win for me too — managing the whole big setup alone this year.
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the stall and made it such a great day. I left with tired feet but a very happy heart.
Here’s to next year’s fete — I’ll see you there!
